YUCO® was launched in 2019 by Li Yu, a multi-talented entrepreneur with a passion for art, fashion, fitness, and culture. Raised in China and educated in England, Li is also a bilingual translator who knows a thing or two about multitasking. In fact, part of her motivation for coming up with YUCO was to fill a gap in the market for activewear that suits fashionistas' needs. Tired of dull and lifeless workout leggings, Li saw an opportunity to create beautiful activewear that could be dressed up or down for almost any occasion.
Li’s journey towards launching YUCO involved plenty of hard work and dedication. After graduating from the London School of Economics with a master’s degree in Media and Communications, Li moved to Los Angeles where she achieved yet another master’s degree in Global Communications from the University of California. At the same time, she started working in the PR and marketing departments of some of the most prestigious luxury fashion brands in North America and Europe, where she learnt the tricks of the trade.
In 2017, Li decided to take a leap of faith and create her own activewear brand. After nine months of researching premium fabrics and tracking down the best manufacturers and designers, Li brought her first YUCO collection to life.
Today, YUCO continues to go from strength to strength and remains committed to serving the evolving needs of modern women, men and non-binary customers.
